Girls Track Update

April 30, 2010

The season was one of the worst for the girls, not because they are bad but their numbers are low and could not win meets with only a couple of girls. The girls lost all their dual meets this year. On the bright side we have some top qualifiers and a couple that might even go all the way to districts. Our standout thrower this year is Ahna Huss, sprinter is Natasha Dettery, and distance runner is Yolanda Welikonich. On April 23, 2010 at the Mount Carmel Invitational’s we had one girl place and that was Ahna Huss; she finished third in discus. They have one more dual meet and an invitational left.

Softball Update: Tri Valley 4-20-10

April 21, 2010

Yesterday, April 20th, our JV Lady Devils took on the Tri Valley Bulldogs. It was a quick three inning game. Our defense wasn’t so hot and neither were our bats. Unfortunately, games like this do happen, but we always hope that the next one will be better and we improve a little bit more every game. The final score was 23-1. Better luck next time girls!
